Get a High End Fashion Look Without Breaking the Bank

High Fashion on a budget

If you’ve been reading this blog for awhile you know that I’m all about looking like a million bucks without spending a million bucks.

I was watching Aimee Song’s Paris fashion week video recently and one of her outfits blew my mind because she was wearing a plain white Hanes t-shirt with a Balmain skirt. Who knew you could create a high end fashion look with just a t-shirt? The outfit looked so stylish, yet effortless.

One of the keys to getting a high end look without breaking the bank is to mix up designer with non-designer pieces. You could make a $5 t-shirt look good with high quality skirt or pants and just the right accessories.

I decided to create my own high fashion look, but with a plain old basic black tank top. I don’t have a fancy sparkly skirt like Aimee Song, but I do have a pair of super sparkly diamond stud earrings thanks to Anjolee. Even if you go with wardrobe pieces that are not designer, high quality accessories and jewelry can take your outfit up to another level.

The pair of earrings I’m wearing are a cubic zirconia replica of the cushion cut genuine diamond studs that you could have custom made at Anjolee.com. You could choose the size of diamond and type of metal. They’re classic and elegant, but definitely an eye-catcher whether you’re wearing it with a casual outfit or evening look.

It’s always nice to have classic pieces in your jewelry collection. And the great thing about diamonds is that they never go out of style. I’ve been a fan of Anjolee for a few years now and love the variety and selection they offer.

Other pieces I focus on when creating a high end fashion look are shoes and handbags. There are tons of sites you can shop online to get designer items for less including Tradesy, Poshmark, The RealReal, etc. However, even if you don’t buy luxury designer pieces, just look for high quality shoes or handbags. Retail stores that I like to scour for deals on shoes and handbags include Neiman Marcus Last Call, Nordstrom Rack, and Burlington Coat Factory.
