Back in the day (I’m already starting to feel old typing that phrase) the only type of subscriptions you could get were magazines and music CD’s. Now you can get a subscription to just about anything from razors to gym clothing and everything in between. You may recall the review I did for Angel Shave Club awhile back.
For beauty product lovers who like to try different products every month, the beauty subscription box has been the ultimate genius invention. The Consumer Affairs website put together a highly informative guide that compares and reviews the different types of beauty boxes so you can decide which one is best for you.
Out of all the beauty boxes listed in the guide the only one I’ve personally tried is Scentbird, which is a fragrance only subscription. This was around the time when they first launched and allowed you to customize your own scent, but I don’t think they offer that anymore. Also, the scents now come in a white case as opposed the black one I have pictured here.
If I were to pick one beauty subscription box now, I would probably choose Petit Vour because they offer cruelty-free, non-toxic, and vegan products.
If you have experience with ordering subscription boxes, I’d love to hear about it!
