I am a firm believer that thoughts are powerful. As someone who studied psychology in college, I know that your subconscious mind is the driver of your actions. The subconscious mind is where you plant the seeds that grow into manifestations in your life.
That’s why you really have to pay attention to what you think and especially what you say. Unfortunately, many people are playing those old, negative broken records in their mind. If you keep telling yourself that you’re ugly or can’t lose weight, then you’re just going to keep feeling the same way and nothing will change.
As someone who has used positive affirmations for the past 13 years, I can tell you from experience that saying them on a daily basis does work. However, it’s not enough to just say affirmations over and over – there has to be emotion behind it. You need to really feel what you’re saying and it has to resonate throughout your body.
If you’re looking for change in the health and wellness areas of your life, here are 20 affirmations that will get you in a more positive frame of mind:

Helpful Tip: Write down these affirmations
This is a technique I learned from Jack Canfield: Write down each affirmation on a 3 x 5 index card. After you read each affirmation, close your eyes and imagine the emotions you would feel as if the affirmation is completely true in your life. Do this every day – preferably in the morning soon after you wake up – and watch how your life begins to transform.
