To make a good first impression on anybody, whether it’s your first day at work or attending a business networking event, you should look polished and professional. Is it possible to look like you just stepped out of a page in Vanity Fair or ELLE Magazine? Absolutely! You don’t even have to buy designer clothing or work overtime to fund a high-fashion wardrobe.

Here are 3 simple ways to look like a million bucks on a budget:

Mix high-end and affordable pieces – You don’t have to dress head-to-toe in name brand or designer clothing. Try wearing a pair of leather shoes with a nicely pressed top and pants or a dress in quality materials.

Shop during off-season sales – Retail and department stores often have end-of-season sales where you can find bargains on name brand clothing. Markdowns usually happen at the beginning of spring for winter clothing and the beginning of fall for spring and summer clothing. You can also find deals at stores such as Nordstrom Rack, Marshalls, and outlet malls.

One store that I sometimes forget about is Burlington Coat Factory. My Love got these Coach sneakers for only $45 and one time I saw a pair of True Religion jeans there for only $35!!

Hire a personal stylist to help you – An experienced stylist has all the resources and expertise to help you easily create outfits that fit your body and are within your budget.
