In last month’s issue of Oprah’s magazine, there was a feature titled “20 Questions Every Woman Should Ask Herself”. I highly recommend reading it and really taking the time to ponder each question. Get to know yourself more and understand who you really are as a person.
Question #13 is one I asked myself recently because these past few months I started criticizing myself for not exercising enough and “letting myself go”. Parts of my body are jiggling where they never jiggled before. And then I stopped and remembered my own advice. Be grateful for what you do have and don’t focus on what you don’t have…”
I think that you will never be fully confident and comfortable in your own skin until you have truly and 100% accepted your body, but once you do accept it, you’ll be more conscious of taking care of it and nurturing it by eating healthy foods and exercising on a consistent basis to keep the organs and muscles in good shape for the long run.
“Female beauty is not a zero-sum game, a scarce commodity, or something only some of us are allowed to have. We have to think ourselves beautiful – not prettier than or less pretty. We have to believe that female beauty is limitless, and love our bodies for their own sake.” –Mays Rupert
