The quote above was in a book that I started rereading this weekend titled, “The Beauty Blueprint“. I got the book awhile back, but forgot about it until recently. I guess a part of me needed to be reminded of why I started this blog. I can relate to alot of what the author, Michelle Phillips, has gone through. Going from “having it all” to having nothing, then discovering her purpose and calling in life.
I’m about a third of the way into the book, and so far I like the questions and exercises that the author assigns the reader to do. Sometimes you have to do alot of digging to find out who you really are and realize that you are indeed beautiful. You have beautiful qualities and gifts to share with the world.
Over the past 10 years or so I’ve done a great deal of inner work to get to a place of peace, strength, and confidence. It’s an ongoing process, though. I learned that in order for me to see and experience change in my life, I had to change my mindset and my actions. It can be a real challenge when you’ve spent many years feeling depressed and have low self-esteem.
If you’re in a place right now where you don’t feel good about yourself, I highly recommend reading “The Beauty Blueprint“. I will write a full review of the book when I”m finished reading it.
