If you’re still trying to figure out what your makeup look will be for Valentine’s Day tomorrow, or you just want to spice up the makeup stash for spring, then NARS Final Cut Collection is worth a look. For those of you who are old enough, perhaps it may conjure up memories of Molly Ringwald and the various outfits she wore in the famous movie, Pretty In Pink.
The blushes and lip pencils have coordinating colors if you like to match, but I decided to mix it up and ordered the satin lip pencil in “Villa Lante” ($25) and the blush in “Final Cut” ($30), which is a coral color.
I was hesitant about trying a bright pink lip pencil, but I’ve seen many women with my same skin tone wearing this shade of pink and it looks good on them. Well, I did say before that I needed to step out of my comfort zone when it came to makeup, so why not experiment with a fun color?
I love how the pencil glides on my lips. I do put a little bit of lip balm to soften my lips before applying the color. The coral blush and Villa Lante colors do seem to complement each other. I feel girly wearing them…just like Molly Ringwald…
