In Dove’s latest campaign, Real Beauty Sketches, they say that only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful. That seems like such a low number to me, but I can see how many women, especially those living in the U.S., can be very critical of themselves.

What I got from watching this video is that we are indeed more beautiful than we think. Many of us still focus on what we perceive to be negative features on our faces and bodies, but other people can see us for who we really are.
The question still remains, though. How do we break this cycle? How do we get young girls and women to realize that what they see in magazines and movies are not real life? How do we stop women from comparing themselves to celebrities and wanting to be just like them?
How do we get women to be more grateful for their own, unique beauty?
