We all have classic pieces in our closet; the black dress, a piece of bold jewelry, a cute pair of shoes, or something you just feel good in

When you’re in a rush to get ready in the morning or you simply want to create a look that appears effortless, classic jewelry pieces always come to the rescue. These are pieces that your mom and grandmother probably wear, which may have been passed down to you. These are pieces you can also find just about anywhere jewelry is sold right now regardless of your budget.
When you think of Sophia Loren in the famous movie, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, what comes to mind besides the little black dress? I always think about the pearls draped around her neck.
What’s so great about pearls is that they can be worn with just about any outfit. Whether it’s a work suit, a t-shirt and jeans, or a sweater and a leather skirt, pearls make create an instant classic look.
I have a pearl necklace that I wore for junior high graduation that I still wear on occasion…
Diamond Stud Earrings
I believe diamond stud earrings are the quintessential classic jewelry that every woman should own. If you watched the Oscars last night, you may have noticed that Anne Hathaway was wearing diamond stud earrings, which went perfectly with the rest of her outfit. Truth is, you can’t go wrong with diamonds in your ears, ladies.

This is another jewelry piece that adds instant glam to any outfit. My best friend gave me a tennis bracelet as a gift a couple years ago and I’m in love with it.
What I like about a cocktail ring is that it can be the only piece of jewelry you wear, but still make an impression. A beautiful and elegant cocktail ring can also make for a great conversation piece. I don’t know what it is about it that gets the most attention when I’m interacting with people. Maybe it’s because hand movements are involved when I’m talking, so people can’t help but take notice of it.
Vintage jewelry has always been viewed as classic jewelry regardless of what year or season it is. Cameo jewelry and brooches are examples of vintage pieces that have been spotted on the runways over the years, and they probably won’t be going away anytime soon. I like Miu Miu’s modern take on cameo jewelry from last summer.
What are your favorite classic jewelry pieces?
