During Earth Month I’ll be sharing beauty and fashion tips, resources, and products that will encourage you to be Earth friendly.
I consider myself to be very eco conscious, and I think the Earth would be a much happier place if more of us were aware of what we consume and what we throw away.
To kick off Earth Month, I’d like to share a couple events/initiatives that you may want to join or be a part of. Every little bit of help counts!
One free concert ticket will be offered to those who bring at least one empty cosmetic package, regardless of brand, to Origins retail stores in NYC, Westchester and the Garden State Plaza Mall (no purchase necessary, while tickets last.) Ticket holders must arrive at Webster Hall New York City for first come first serve entry. Origins will collect all the packaging and recycle or responsibly convert it to energy through its Return to Origins Recycling Program.
- The San Diego Aveda Earth Day Beach Cleanup will come together with The Surfrider Foundation as part of a global initiative that acknowledges the daily struggle of over one billion people around the world who do not have access to clean water- that’s 1 in 7 people. This year’s beach cleanup will unite San Diego residents and local Aveda Salons at Belmont Park in Mission Beach on April 18, 2010 from 10am – 12pm. All proceeds to benefit The Surfrider Foundation.
